Coronary artery bypass information and international destinations

The procedure known as a coronary artery bypass or bypass surgery helps in restoring the heart's blood flow when arteries are obstructed. In the US, this is the most commonly performed type of heart surgery.
This procedure consists of taking a healthy vein from another area of the body and using it as a bypass to go around the blocked artery. You will be attached to a heart-lung machine throughout the procedure to keep the flow of blood and oxygen through the body. Your heart is then stopped and cooled. The ascending aorta will get one end of the graft, while the obstructed artery will receive the other. The heart's blood flow is restored once the graft has been examined, and the heart-lung machine is then turned off. If an angioplasty cannot remove the blockage, this surgery is an option.
