Lasik surgery information and international destinations

A more modern procedure called LASIK is used to treat myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism so that patients can stop wearing glasses. Lasers are used by surgeons to reshape the cornea.
During LASIK, the doctor will modify the cornea to better direct light toward the retina for better vision. After giving eye-numbing medicine to the patient, the surgeon will install a small suction ring and use specialized equipment to create a small flap over the cornea. The cornea is then sliced with a laser that has been programmed according to the condition. The flap is positioned when the laser is finished.

Lasik frequent questions

Get answers to our most frequently asked questions and what to expect after the surgery.
Do I qualify for LASIK surgery?
Applicants for surgery either have astigmatism, myopia, or both, or they don't want to use contacts or glasses any longer. Surgery might not be an option for all autoimmune problem sufferers. To find out if you are a candidate for surgery, we advise you to consult one of our qualified doctors.
How can I get ready for LASIK?
Your eye will be examined by a specialist to ascertain its condition, pupil size, and corneal shape. Around two weeks before surgery, doctors will typically ask you to cease wearing contact lenses.
Will there be pain during my surgery?
You will only feel pressure during surgery after your doctor applies drops to numb your eyes.
What happens after surgery?
You can feel some irritation just after the treatment, and your eyes might start to moisten. It will take some time for your eyes to adjust, but you will be able to see, just not clearly.
Can I wear makeup?
It can take a few weeks before applying makeup around your eyes is safe. We advise you to consult your specialists.
Will I require corrective surgery?
Most patients won't require correction surgery, but those with more serious issues may experience an under-correction and require additional surgery. Patients may decide to get a correction if their vision changes as a result of aging, pregnancy, or other conditions in some circumstances.
