A woman from Taiwan was admitted to the hospital in an emergency due to severe lower back pain and fever. After an ultrasound, doctors discovered that her kidneys were inflamed and filled with stones. A subsequent CT scan revealed that the kidney stones measured up to 1 inch, prompting specialists to perform surgery to treat the condition.
Medical reports indicate that the young woman had a preference for boba tea and a reluctance to drink water. Specialists note that low fluid intake, combined with genetic factors, can significantly contribute to the development of kidney stones, a condition that is becoming more common among people with unhealthy dietary habits.
