A cholecystectomy is the surgical removal of the gallbladder to prevent more
serious problems caused by gallstones or other conditions. The procedure can be
carried out through open surgery or laparoscopic surgery.
This surgery is done to remove the appendix when it presents inflammation or
swollenness. Depending on the condition of the appendix, the surgery can be open
or laparoscopic surgery.
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
A GERD occurs when the stomach acid moves up to the stomach, causing heartburn.
To avoid this condition the esophagus is wrapped to increase the pressure and
prevent the acids to move back.
