My hernia decided to demand emergency attention the Friday before Christmas. I met her in ER that Friday night and had surgery at 10:30 pm. And she was back Saturday morning to explain the successful surgery and check how I was doing. I was in hospital for 5 days and saw Dra. Barcelona at least once everyday. Her professionalism and compassion did not go unnoticed by my husband or I. We have been singing her praises to our friends in Puerto Vallarta and back home in Canada; including my team of doctors back home.

Postoperative consultation with Dr. Jiménez for evaluation, and the attention I received from the doctor was excellent, just as it was in my preoperative experience and during the surgery. Dr. Jiménez provided me with a clear and precise assessment of the successful evolution of the procedure she performed to correct an inguinal hernia that was bothering me. She gave me clear instructions on the care I should continue to follow. I am very pleased because, in the preoperative consultation, the diagnosis and explanation of the procedure and the care I had to comply with provided me with a lot of reassurance, contributing to a less stressful and faster recovery.
Additionally, I had her support and assistance in finding a place to perform the operation near my residence, at a reasonable cost. This aspect also made everything less problematic, especially since I am a foreigner in Mexico and did not have medical insurance.
