Dr. Rey Armando Cárdenas Acuña began his medical studies at the Military Medical School of the Army and Air Force University.

He completed the specialty of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Military School of Health Graduates and the Central Military Hospital, later he completed the High Specialty course of Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Surgery at the Victorio de la Fuente Narváez Hospital dependent on the Mexican Institute of Social Security.
He completed a Master's Degree in Basic Sciences with a Specialty in Physiology at the Graduate Military School of Health.
