Dr. Miguel A. Valdovinos Díaz is a graduate of La Salle University. He specialized in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Endoscopy at the Salvador Zubirán National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
He completed his Research Fellowship in Gastrointestinal Motility at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota.

He is a full member of the National Academy of Medicine. He was a member of the education committees of the American Gastroenterology Association and the World Gastroenterology Organization and the clinical parameters committee of the American College of Gastroenterology. President of the Mexican Association of Gastroenterology in 2014. Current President of the Mexican Association of Neurogastroenterology and Motility. He is an active member of several national and international scientific societies.
He is the author of more than 120 articles in national and international indexed journals and 13 gastroenterology books.
