Rhinoplasty surgery information and locations

Rhinoplasty is a surgery in which surgeons change the shape of the nose by working on the bone, cartilage and skin. Patients may have a rhinoplasty to improve their breathing or to correct a birth defect. This is usually a same day procedure.
This procedure is done under general anesthesia. Before surgery, doctors will examine the entire face to develop the most appropriate nose determining if the patient needs an open or closed surgery. Surgeons make cuts around the nostrils and sometimes across the base of the nose, reshaping the tissues for a more pleasing and functional appearance.
