Am I a candidate for a Bichectomy?

Is the surgery painful?
During surgery, you will be awake but won't feel anything. After surgery, you could experience discomfort in the area as well as some swelling and mild pain.
Do I need a special diet after surgery?
Your specialist will usually recommend you to refrain from acidic foods for 1 or 2 weeks. You will also be instructed to clean your mouth several times per day to help the incisions heal properly.
Are the results permanent?
Results are usually permanent, however, putting on weight could cause your Bichat bags to accumulate fat again.
