Am I a candidate for liposuction?
Candidates for surgery usually are people who have fat deposits that they want to remove. This procedure is not recommended for overweight patients, as this is not a weight loss surgery. We recommend you to refer to one of our specialists for an evaluation to determine if you are a candidate for surgery.
Is this procedure painful?
During the procedure, you won’t feel any pain. After surgery, you could experience some mild discomfort and swelling. Your specialists will prescribe you with pain medication if needed.
How long will recovery take?
Recovery times vary depending on the amount of fat removed. Usually, after 3 or 4 weeks the swelling has disappeared and results are more evident. Some doctors may leave temporary drains on the incision; these have to be removed on a follow-up appointment.
For how long will the results last?
Results are generally permanent. However, weight changes may cause fat to accumulate again.
