Jalisco is not only distinguished for tequila and mariachi; its mountains feature magical towns that invite an immersive travel experience.

Mascota
Mascota is known as the “Esmeralda de la Sierra,” or Emerald of the Mountains, and it's an ideal destination for ecotourism and to disconnect from the city’s hustle. Its main attraction lies in its forest and cool weather, the beauty of its cobbled streets, and its historic architecture, highlighting the unfinished Temple de la Preciosa Sangre. Visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing in the Corrinchis Dam and enjoy traditional foods and drinks, making Mascota a peaceful refuge with traditional tastes.

San Sebastian del Oeste
San Sebastián del Oeste takes its visitors to the boom of the mining time of colonial times. This magical town distinguishes itself for keeping intact the looks of its former haciendas and its viceroyal architecture, reflecting its importance as a former center for the extraction of gold and silver. One of its main attractions is hiking the Cerro de la Bufa, which offers panoramic views of the Sierra Madre Occidental. It’s the perfect place for historical tourism, which can be complemented by horseback riding and tours of the multiple ranches that are dedicated to coffee farming.
Talpa de Allende
Talpa de Allende is known nationally as a key point for religious tourism, being the location of the Basilica de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Talpa, a destination for thousands of pilgrims that travel through the famous “Pilgrims Route” yearly. Faith and devotion give the town a unique atmosphere, but its attractiveness extends to its natural environment, including the unusual Maple Forest, a botanical treasure in Mexico. Along with this, Talpa is famous for its traditional sweets, such as the elaboration of the traditional and delicious Talpa gum, offering an experience that is spiritual, natural, and gastronomical at once.
