Nuevo Vallarta is one of the most famous and enchanting tourist destinations in the world,
each year thousands of visitors arrive at the shores of this beautiful city looking to
relax, enjoy gourmet food, and to find premium medical treatments performed by the most
experienced doctors in Mexico.
Nuevo Vallarta is just 5 minutes away from Puerto Vallarta, meaning that your trip will
allow you experience two cities for the price of one, on both you will find from luxurious
resorts to traditional hotels that will fit every budget, enough restaurants to visit and
something to do on every corner.
Nature may be the city’s greatest charm; there are over 8 different beaches and each has
something unique about it, the ones closer to the city will let you see art exhibits and
visit a lot of museums, while the ones a bit further away tend to be more private and have a
strong tropical vibe. You can even adventure into the sea in one of the many tours that can
take you whale watching, and even visit Los Arcos, a series of rock formations where you can
go scuba diving.
Once you come back from exploring the sea you can recharge your energy by going into one of
the world-famous restaurants, Vallarta’s gastronomy is like nothing you’ve ever seen, and
the locals are so proud of it that some even offer guided tours to the best places to eat,
we recommend trying a huge bowl of pozole with a side of tacos.
There is always something to do Nuevo Vallarta, if you walk through the Malecon you can
admire the many statues that cover it or visit one of the museums detailing the naval
history of the city; while the romantic area will allow you to experience the most vibrant
nightlife of the entire city, the festivals throughout the year, like the Gourmet Festival,
Day of the Death and even fishing competitions.
You can pay with US dollars, Credit/Debit cards on most restaurants and shops. If you pay
with cash the exchange rate will be lower, it’s better to visit a foreign exchange agency, a
bank or an ATM to turn your currency into Mexican pesos.
