Merida is surrounded by spectacular landscapes filled with history and traditions. In this
location, tourists can relax and find new activities every single day. The beauty of the
streets and his cultural extravagance make it a place of elegance. The majestic Mayan ruins
and Colonial houses will amaze you wherever you go.
Once you get here, you will feel the warm and humid weather that Merida has to offer, so
it’s better to bring some fresh clothes, hats, and sunblock. Every morning there is a free
tour that departs from “Plaza Grande” which is a popular park where you can walk among their
beautiful gardens or enjoy the view sitting under a tree.
If you like the ancient culture, you will love the “Gran Museo del Mundo Maya” a museum with
more than 800 archaeological pieces filled with history. We also recommend La Ruta Puuc,
this walk will take you to archeological zones like Labná, X-Lapak, and Sayil which are
ancient structures made by the Mayans, being the most recommended among the locals.
